What Parents Say About Us

A true gem of a school and an anchor in our family’s life.
We are completing our fourth year with Ms. Komal at Providence Montessori Child Care, and I truly cannot imagine a more loving, thoughtful, and enriching foundation for a child’s early years. This school has been a rock for our family, providing consistency, connection, and a deep respect for the natural brilliance and curiosity within each child.
Under Ms. Komal’s gentle guidance, my son began reading at age 3. Now, as he approaches 6, he’s joyfully diving into chapter books and graphic novels with confidence and excitement. He is articulate, emotionally intelligent, socially warm, and incredibly curious and everywhere we go, people comment on his advanced education and sweet, grounded demeanor. I know this is a direct reflection of the authentic Montessori environment and our collaboration with Ms. Komal.
The community here is small, supportive, and feels like family. I treasure the connection I’ve built not only with Ms. Komal, but with the other children and families. There’s something truly special about having that kind of intimacy and mutual respect in your child’s learning environment.
The outdoor classroom, with its garden and even chickens! is just one example of the hands-on, nature-centered learning that takes place here. The children spend as much time outside as possible, and both the indoor and outdoor spaces reflect true Montessori philosophy: peaceful, intentional, and child-led.
One of our favorite parts of the year has always been the school events and field trips. Visiting local farms, gardens, and science centers not only brings the learning to life, but also builds a strong sense of community among the children and parents. These experiences have created memories we will cherish forever and added so much joy to our journey.
Providence Montessori Child Care has given my son a powerful and joyful start to life and given me, as a parent, peace of mind and a trusted partner in his growth. I will be forever grateful for Ms. Komal and the beautiful space she’s created.

Three years ago, my first and only child turned two. He was bright, observant, happy, working on developing his motor skills, etc. However, he wasn’t talking yet. He could understand what was being said to him, read to him and follow commands but he just didn’t have the urge to speak.
Being a first time mom, I was nervous, anxious, scared, questioning whether I was doing the right thing, etc. I took him to the pediatrician who insisted that I relax and try putting my son in a day care for more socialization. I preferred him to be at home with our nanny versus a daycare. She then suggested a Montessori school. So, I went home and started googling Montessori. Loving what I was reading and learning about Montessori, I googled Montessori schools near my home.
Ms. Komal’s Oceanside Providence Montessori popped up. After reading a few reviews, I decided to reach out. We set up a date and my husband and I took our son over. Our son instantly loved it, was smiling, warmed up to Ms. Komal quickly, and that was all we needed to enroll him.
We enrolled him part time, two days a week so that we could also keep our nanny. Within two weeks (technically 4 days since he only went twice a week), our son started talking like he had been talking for years. Silly me for being nervous and worried. All he needed was to be around his peers and Ms. Komal and the boy hasn’t stopped talking since, haha!
In all seriousness, we owe so much to Ms. Komal. Her reassurance, guidance and faith in our son, our beliefs, our goals for him, have helped to mold him into the very advanced 5-year-old he is today. Montessori is NOT a daycare. Not that there is anything wrong with day cares or parents who choose that option. I personally feel that because we chose Montessori, our son adapted quickly and began learning quickly. He knew his letters and sounds of the letters before turning 4. The lessons that Ms. Komal puts time and effort into building are fun for the kids. They understand how to work on projects independently and within small groups. Everything is hands on from the science experiments to the art, to the block building, the counting, the pouring of water, the organizing, the cleaning, etc. The kids are learning so much without even realizing they are learning. The field trips are wonderful as well.
Our son is starting kindergarten in the Fall and we will miss Montessori but he will drop in from time to time to help out with the younger kiddos. Choosing Providence Montessori will be one of the best decisions a parent can make for their kiddos.

Providence Montessori has been so good for my Eight year old son, who had to change schools in the middle of this school year. Due to being bullied, which made him a bit withdrawn from other children, his little self esteem was crushed. I knew I had to get him out of that school. It was affecting his growth academically. no room for that,my baby already has special needs. Requesting a little more TLC than the average eight year old in the way he learns. So by the grace of God we found a Ms. Komal who has been our blessing catching my son up socially and academically to his peers level. Now I feel my child is ready to move forward into a setting with his age group with the Confidence he needs….. which Ms. Komal installs in her students. We love I Providence a Montessori!!!!!

When we moved to the Oceanside area, I was looking for a school that would help my son grow academically, emotionally and socially. I found this and more with Ms Komal and her Montessori school! The way she teaches her students with such love and respect can be seen in how my son looks forward to going to school every day. She puts so much effort and thought into the lessons she prepares for them each week. The schedule of 8:30am-1pm was a perfect fit for our family and allowed us to have slow mornings getting out the door and spend afternoons together. Overall, our time at Providence has been an incredible experience and I have seen so much growth in my son in all areas! I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a hands-on, individual teaching approach from an educator who clearly sees teaching as her life’s work and passion.

Providence Montessori has been amazing for my 2 daughters. My oldest started when she was 3 years old after being home with a nanny her entire life and she adjusted really easily. She loves learning and has increased her confidence and speech exponentially since starting with Ms. Komal. She barely spoke when first starting at the school and now is talking constantly and I attribute that to being around kids her age and also older kids that she can look up to. My youngest started when she was 14 months and loves painting and story time. The girls love being together at school and all the activities that Ms. Komal plans each week. They have been able to do a park day each week, show and tell, cooking and see chickens hatch from eggs. It has been an amazing experience for the girls and the routine has really helped them. I highly recommend Providence Montessori!

Providence Montessori Child Care is an amazing school. Their program offers a variety of fun but academic learning opportunities. It is also an Authentic AMI Montessori home school. Plus, the prices are competitive with longer preschool hours in comparison to regular church pre-schools. Mrs. Komal is an amazing educator with over 30 years of experience. She’s innovative and can reach her students wherever they are scholastically. My daughter started Providence when she was 22 months old. Her vocabulary, speech and concentration has improved dramatically with the teamwork of Mrs. Komal, my husband and I. I recommend this learning environment for your kiddos!

Ms. Komal’s program stood out far above the rest. As my son grew, he was in the classroom observing the older children work and learn. The children interact and help teach each other along with Ms. Komal’s instruction. His ability to socialize with other children and focus on a task surpassed his peers and I firmly believe it was the Ms. Komal’s program.

I am truly blessed to have found Providence Montessori! This is not simply a daycare. Mrs Komal has over 20 years of experience teaching children and it has truly shown by my sons actions. Not only has she taught him independence while working but she has so many techniques to make learning fun.

“We decided to move to Providence Montessori and after just one week with Ms. Komal our son was gaining his independence through positive reinforcement and feedback with a gradual and self-paced approach to adapting to a new environment. The atmosphere at Providence Montessori enabled our son to learn from older children and spend time exploring his curiosities and developing his motor skills and general capabilities as a toddler.”

“My three-year-old son Maxwell has been a student at Providence Montessori School for the past year. When I ask him, “What did you learn at school today Max?” he replies, “I did work. I painted!” He is a headstrong and active toddler who challenges boundaries with the ferocity that cares he for his family. His school provides him the structure he needs to be happy and successful. I have seen vast improvement in Maxwell’s speech over the past year. He speaks in sentences! His potty training is improving; he wants to learn to use the potty with his friends. As my first born child, Max has gained confidence and independence. Before pre-school, Max would only nap with Mommy. Now, he naps at school with no “binky” or giraffe blanket, previously inseparable items. He thoroughly enjoys his time at Providence Montessori and I know that he is learning new skills everyday.”

“Providence Montessori is an exceptional preschool experience. Not only does Ms. Komal provide a wonderfully loving, nurturing and safe environment, but the educational curriculum is thoughtfully planned out to expose the children to an incredible range of topics and experiences. The school is the closest environment to having your children at home but with many more opportunities to learn, grow and blossom as individuals. Only the highest quality teaching materials are used, as children are taught to safely and properly pour, hold, and carry everyday items as a practical skill. Students also learn about geography, math, social studies/culture, language, and music on an age appropriate level. Our son constantly breaks out into spontaneous song, singing the upbeat songs he’s learned at school. Moreover, they learn self -confidence, to take responsibility for themselves, and they develop the love of learning in this beautiful home-based environment. Ms. Komal has years of experience and works hard with both the parents and children to develop your child on an individual basis. Her warm hugs every morning say it all! We are blessed to have our son under her care.”

“Ms. Komal runs a wonderful, academically rich program full of materials and experiences sure to capture any child’s attention and interest. As soon as our daughter began to attend Providence , we noticed a change in her. She was quick to tell us about her friends and the lessons she did during the day. At two and a half, she happily identifies letters and counts to 20. She sings songs she’s learned at school, and tells me stories that I later learn came from school as well. Our daughter had never been away from family prior to attending Providence Montessori, and she struggled quite a bit with separation anxiety. Ms. Komal did a wonderful job working with us to ensure that our daughter’s transition to school was as seamless as possible. Our daughter had a history of fine motor difficulties (such as holding a fork or pencil properly). Ms. Komal was quick to offer her support and advice as well as soliciting the support of the Children’s Services Network, a program designed to assist preschools with offering a full-inclusion environment for students with special needs. The support she sought for our daughter was wonderful, and we are very grateful for her caring attention and instruction.”

We chose Casa dei Bambini Montessori over a larger preschool so our son would have more one on one attention. It has been a great transition for him from being home during the day to getting used to being part of a group. He is learning a lot at his own pace in a wonderful environment. We are definitely pleased with our decision!

Marc & Melissa,
Our son, Reece, entered the Montessori program at Casa de Bambini at the age of 2. In the past year he has surpassed any expectation we as parents had for a 2-3 year old toddler. His skills in recognizing letters, counting, everyday skills and manners are significantly more advanced than peers his age in traditional child care programs. Casa de Bambini has been a wonderful experience for him. As an only child at home he learned the importance of interactions with friends of similar, younger and older ages at school. Through these interactions he has gained a confidence and self-esteem unimagined for someone of his age and social experience. Casa de Bambini offers many unique experiences compared to other Montessori programs including small classes, one on one relationship with the headmistress, involved specialized music programs, fieldtrips and interactions in the community and family oriented seasonal programs.
One special story I attribute specifically to the Montessori program and our son is that I took Reece to a movie recently and after it was over and we were walking out amongst the other patrons I asked, “Did you like the movie?” and he answered “I sure did Dad, thank you for taking me. It sure was impressive.” He was not yet 3 1/2 years old. This statement shows you 3 specific examples of the Montessori program’s impact. The
first being that he was able to sit well behaved for an entire cinematic experience. Secondly, he was appreciative and expressed gratitude without being coerced. Thirdly, he used vocabulary 3-4 years beyond the expectation for his age. There is no doubt the Montessori program was the correct choice for our son. We are extremely satisfied with his experience at Casa de Bambini Montessori. It is a wonderful school where the children are placed first and the passion of the teacher are passed on through the curriculum

My son Christopher started attending Providence Montessori in Fresno since last year when he was two. We were looking for a small class size with a Montessori curriculum that was close to home. We met Ms. Komal at the Clovis Farmers Market and we feel so fortunate that she started up her school here in Fresno! Christopher loves going to school at Montessori. He enjoys the small group setting and making friends with the other children. Ms. Komal is a warm and loving teacher who truly cares for each of the children in her class. She is structured and organized and sends weekly emails to us parents with updated schedules and pictures of our children at school. It is also fun to see the art projects and lessons he’s
been learning, which he often brings home in a folder on Fridays. Being busy parents, we especially appreciate the flexibility that Ms. Komal has offered to us. I am grateful that I can drop off Christopher at her home in the mornings and that she makes sure that he finishes his meals and snacks, takes a nap, etc. She has helped him also in his potty-training. Of course, as a certified Montessori instructor, Ms. Komal offers more than just childcare. She is a wonderful teacher and has helped our son to learn so much. We feel we have the best of both worlds by sending
our son to her school. Ms. Komal’s school/home is always clean and organized. I can leave him at school every day knowing that he will be safe, well-cared for, and that he will enjoy his day. Christopher enjoys going to school, where he can play with the classroom rabbit, observe butterflies and frogs, paint pictures on the easel, climb on the swingset, and of course, be free to work on the activities that he is most interested in. He is stimulated by the hands-on Montessori curriculum and I have been continually impressed by the new skills and knowledge he has gained. He has learned independence, self-control, social skills, and selfconfidence by attending Providence Montessori. I would highly recommend Providence Montessori to anyone looking for a safe, peaceful learning environment for their child.

We are so happy with the education that our child is getting at Casa de Bambini. The small
class size is so important and our child receives so much one on one learning time. We would
recommend Casa de Bambini to everyone with preschoolers.

We feel fortunate that our son is able to attend Casa dei Bambini where he receives individualized attention and is absolutely thriving. He is learning to observe and respect the world around him, to appreciate peacefulness and diversity. Casa dei Bambini truly cares about their students and their families and we are so grateful for everything they have done for us.

I cannot say enough great things about Mrs. Komal and the Providence Montessori School. Our son started very young and has progressed intellectually, socially, and emotionally in ways beyond our hopes in a short period of time. There is a large emphasis on learning and bringing out the best in each child. The small group setting allows each child’s needs to receive a personal touch, and with Mrs. Komal‘s 30+ years of Montessori experience, the proof has been our son’s growth and eagerness to go each day. She will regularly send pictures and videos of our child enjoying his day with his friends–its wonderful to see him so happy and engaged! If you are looking for a small group setting where your child can be part of a highly caring, nurturing, and loving environment, then Providence Montessori School will exceed your every expectation.

I am shocked the see there is a negative review for Oceanside’s Providence Montessori! As a parent of a child that has been attending for three years, I have never heard or seen anything happen such as this. It also seems that the parent with a negative review also posted a negative review for another school. Sometimes it can be difficult for adults to realize that their child may need extra attention and that is why it seems like no facility is good enough for said parent. I pray she can find a facility that is a better fit for her child and that meets her standards. As a Providence Montessori parent, I’m proud of the familial bond we have with the other parents and that we all understand that our kiddos may learn and react in different ways. Thank you so much Ms. Komal for always putting the kiddos first and protecting their safety always. We will continue to be part of the family even after our son starts elementary school.

Our daughter has been going to Providence Montessori for a little over two years now, since she was just under 2 1/2 years old. We initially chose to send her to daycare for socialization – she was charming and talkative with adults, but didn’t really know what to do with other kids. The small class setting was perfect for her, as was the mix of kids both older and younger than her, and she’s made some great friends.
The academic side of things wasn’t a big deciding factor for us, but she has always loved doing “work” at Providence Montessori – learning through a variety of fun, hands-on activities, observing other kids and lessons from Ms. Komal. At 4 1/2 she’s a pro at her letters and numbers and does a great job at following instructions. With an influx of new students recently, she’s also enjoyed taking a leadership role in the classroom and giving younger kids “lessons.” The mix of ages is just as beneficial for her now, as it was when she first started.
Our 2 1/2 year old son, who has special needs and a variety of developmental delays, recently started to go to school with his big sister and is doing great. Ms. Komal has been very open and accommodating and we are thrilled he is able to follow in his sister’s footsteps. We’re lucky to have found Providence Montessori and Ms. Komal.

My son has been going here for the past several months and we are incredibly happy to have him here. Ms. Komal has taught him manners, communication skills, and he has made amazing progress on his letters, numbers, reading, and much more. Ms. Komal leads her class with a gentle demeanor and always manages to get them to listen and understand whatever she is teaching. Unfortunately, we need to relocate due to work but if we didn’t we would absolutely send our younger son here as well. Providence Montessori is a fantastic place to send your children!

My little one has been in childcare since she was 6 months old. Because my spouse was in the military, we had base childcare for two years. Once he retired, understandably we got a 45 day disenrollment notice. I was looking for a new child care program for my little one and during Covid-19 it’s been especially challenging. I came across Providence Montessori and loved that the program was out of Ms. Komal’s beautiful home. It is close to Camp Pendleton and she offered a trial day to see how my LO would do and I appreciated that. No other places really offer that. It is a close and intimate group so you get to know the children well. If you are especially concerned about all the things you can catch at a larger daycare, this is the one for you. They take all the precautions necessary. My LO used to get sick fairly regularly going to a big daycare so it’s nice peace of mind that it’s a smaller, more intimate group.
We were so happy with Providence Montessori and are so sad to have to move out of state. My little one was so happy and still asks for Ms. Komal all the time! If we stayed in the area, we would definitely continue going and if we move back to San Diego while my LO is still young enough, I would definitely re-enroll her to providence montessori!

An absolute gem in the Oceanside area. Ms Komal is true to Montessori values and culture, which I found very difficult to find when we first moved here. My 3yr old has had no difficulty settling in at all due to the warmth and friendliness on the environment. He has learned a lot and loves the opportunity for development and exploration. I cannot recommend enough!

We began taking our son to Providence Montessori since he was 4 months old. Being our first kid, Ms. Komal helped us feel comfortable with constant pictures and updates. Her method of teaching has provided us with a personable and engaging child. Providence Montessori has been a delightful experience and a great alternative to on-base childcare.

It’s been over 3 years since we left the area and Providence Montessori. During this time all three of my children were screened for advanced classes and continue to thrive academically in school. The foundation they received at Providence Montessori proved instrumental, especially when faced with COVID. Many thanks for all the lessons that were taught and the good learning habits that were learned.

After 11 months of separation from our kids due to a deployment, my husband and I were apprehensive of a Pre-K/Pre-School location for our 3 kids. I watched them for 3 months cry everyday when I left them at the New River childcare and was so worried for our move to California. Providence Montessori was a God send to us! We have been with them for 3 years and my kids have grown so much as students and people. The teach responsibility, helping others, and life skills in addition to academics. We even had a worry about my oldest and his challenge on focusing the first year and now he likes to do all his school work and reads to the class! The smaller, home environment has been great. I also loved that my kids had the option to attend everyday. So happy for this experience for my children. I will miss them dearly. Highly recommend them!
We moved here shortly after a 10 month separation from our kids due to a dual deployment. Our concerns for our children’s intellectual growth brought us here and we have not been disappointed! Our children have grown to be more confident and self aware. I love how they learn, how they learn to help others in learning,, and the unique experiences they have with Ms. Komal. Highly recommend for any parent.

Providence has been a great first school experience for our 3 year old. Prior to starting (at 2.5 yr old), our daughter hadn’t been around other children on a regular basis. Providence has been great environment for her to work on her social skills, creativity and learn to be more independent. Our daughter has responded well to the Montessori way of learning, in particular receiving lessons and guidance from some of the older students. We also feel very fortunate this has been a safe and consistent school home for our daughter during the pandemic.

I’m a terrible procrastinator!! I mean, terrible!! I’ve been telling Ms. Komal for over a year that I would write a yelp review. Why? Because she deserves it!! And, quiet frankly, I’m a believer in Yelp and pay very close attention to what people say about a company and their customer service. Wether it be food, clothing store, spa, or….Montessori :0)
But!! I’m glad (in this case) that I procrastinated! Because I’ve gotten to know Ms. Komal so well…..
Beautiful and humble would be just 2 of the many words to describe this woman! She has been such an example to me and my children. By her example, she has helped me become a better mom in the process of a very stressful time in my life. I’m grateful for the time she has taken to sit with me and talk. Given me advice and perspective. She has provided peace, clarity, sanity, comfort, humility and the list goes on. I absolutely adore Ms. Komal! Ms. Komal has helped not only my children, by loving them, caring for them, teaching them and letting them be play and allowing them to discover and be who they are! She’s incredibly passionate about her work and the children she teaches! Their little brains and hearts are her number one priority. I THANK YOU, Ms. Komal for the example you’ve been to me and my children.
This past 1+ years, has been the most humbling and life saving years of my life!! We were given two beautiful babies over 2 and a 1/2 years ago. Half siblings. 3 month old baby girl and her brother, 23 months. Needless to say, I was a wee bit stressed. My sweet husband happened to drive by a sign for Providence Montessori. Boy! What a blessing that he took down the phone number for me! It took me a while to set up a tour for our now 4 year old. But the second I walked into the children’s work space, I felt such peace and comfort and knew Ms. Komal and her school were the perfect fit for my sweet and sensitive little man. She is so incredibly patient with the children. You can see and feel the love she has for each child she teaches. Our little man has only been there just over a year. Over this past year and a half, not only has our son developed a great relationship, including respect for Ms. Komal. She has a way of lovingly teaching our children with a firm, consistence and structured environment. Yet her calm and patient character along with her nurturing and maternal instincts provide all the kids the sweet tenderness she is able to give ALL the children.
Ms. Komal has always been open and honest with me, she sends texts and pictures throughout the day to show how the kids are doing. She ALWAYS has the children’s best interest at heart. Ms. Komal is honest and forthright when communicating with parents what she feels is best for the children. And that is her number one priority…the kids!
Over this past year, she has developed a relationship with our youngest. And she too is now enrolled at Providence Montessori a couple days a week.
We love Ms. Komal

I am truly blessed to have found Providence Montessori! This is not simply a daycare. Mrs Komal has over 20 years of experience teaching children and it has truly shown by my sons actions. Not only has she taught him independence while working but she has so many techniques to make learning fun. For example, to teach something she will have different options for him to choose. Essentially, he chooses how he wants to learn but doesn’t realize he’s learning! My son previously was unable to sit still and lacked motivation to learn. Each child is treated individually and she develops separate learning plans based off of the child strengths and weaknesses. She also is extremely efficient in teaching children to become leaders by developing their confidence and letting the children take responsibility! She truly is talented, patient, and takes pride in the children who are at her school! She is experienced working with children with special needs and all ages. This summer she has taken my 7 year daughter and is continuing her education so she will be ahead this upcoming school year. Her passion is teaching toddlers and preschoolers that she can prepare for school! I highly recommend Providence Montessori because I’ve seen the evidence first hand of what an amazing job she has done with my children!

Hands down you need to send your children to this school or get on the waitlist! My 2 1/2 yr old son has has been with Ms. Komal since he was 6 wks old and my 8 m old daughter since she was 3 m old. As a first time mom I was very nervous about sending a 6 wk old to daycare. I am on active duty so I work full time. My husband and I researched many schools and daycares and Ms. The program is a great balance of school, play and extra curricular such as music and field trips. I love the small classroom setting and in- home daycare environment. Ms. Komal cares greatly for her students providing a warm and loving environment for her students. She also has wonderful communication with parents. This is the place for your children!

The teacher is very patient and loving toward the children. She takes time out to figure out what each student strength and weakness. My son was there one month and I noticed a huge improvement. By far this was one of the best schools my son has been to and I would recommend this place to everyone

Amazing to see the growth of our children over the last 2 and a half years. Ms Komal has been a source of stability for our kids during this difficult time of COVID. Small class size and varied lessons have made this the perfect place to start their education. We prize the discipline, flexibility, and and challenges that Providence Montessori has given them.
