Outdoor Classroom
San Diego’s beautiful weather allows us to extend learning beyond the classroom. Our spacious outdoor area includes:
- A dedicated outdoor classroom for hands-on Montessori lessons in nature.
- A playground that encourages imaginative play and physical development.
- Gardening activities and nature exploration to foster a connection with the natural world.
Special Weekly Program: Dance Class
Every Friday, Miss Mary leads a joyful one-hour dance class where children explore self-expression, physical activity, and creativity through movement and music. This special program adds an extra layer of fun and enrichment to their week.
Field Trips
We organize 3-5 field trips annually to provide real-world learning experiences that complement classroom studies. These outings may include visits to local farms, nature centers, or museums, giving children the chance to connect their lessons to the wider world.
Community Events
Building a strong sense of community is at the heart of our philosophy. Families are invited to participate in four annual events where we celebrate the children’s achievements:
- Performances: Children showcase their talents and work, building confidence and pride.
- Potluck Gatherings: Families come together to share food, stories, and connections, fostering a supportive and inclusive community.
Community Events
We believe that parents are essential partners in their child’s educational journey. To support this, Ms. Komal hosts parent education sessions to:
- Deepen parents’ understanding of Montessori philosophy and methods.
- Provide insights into their children’s daily activities and progress.
- Strengthen the partnership between home and school, creating a cohesive and enriching experience for the child.
